Where are the Former NFL cheerleaders today?

Filed Under Former NFL Cheerleaders |

Over the course of time, many NFL cheerleaders come and go. After all, it really is only a part-time job that does not offer much in terms of monetary compensation. However, as I mentioned in my other article, just being a cheerleader opens up the doors to many other opportunities. Here, we examine where a few of these NFL cheerleaders have gone today and how they are living their lives after cheering professionally for the NFL.

Danielle Demski, Miss Arizona USA, 2004
NFL Cheerleaders Squad - Arizona Cardinals

Danielle Demski

Danielle graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her years in college, Danielle performed for the NFL cheerleaders of the Arizona Cardinal team. She enjoyed her stay in the squad and was featured in the Cardinal Cheerleaders swimsuit calendar as well as became a part of the elite Cardinal’s Show Team. This gave Danielle various opportunities including the chance to travel and perform for the U.S. military overseas. She’s been around the world to places such as Switzerland, Germany, Kosovo, Bosnia, and many others.

After Danielle Demski fulfilled her responsibilities as part of the NFL cheerleaders, she moved onwards to become Miss Arizona USA in 2004. Danielle became a finalist in the Miss USA pageant, and even though she did not gain the title of Miss USA, she had gained much experience on the camera and off. Being an advocate for literacy, the former Miss Arizona USA produced a video to increase the awareness of literacy which was named “A Journey of Gifts.” This video shows in local schools around Arizona.

Danielle continues to be a television host, a model, a spokesperson, and a great contributor to the community on a local as well as national level.

After parting ways with the NFL cheerleaders, Charisma began her Hollywood career. She married and divorced, but was left with a son born in 2003. It’s been noted that Charisma has a belly scar which was caused by an accident when she was five years old. Her entertainment career began with a few television ads as well as a few appearances in Baywatch, Miss match, and Malibu Shores. Charisma is best known for her active acting role as the character Cordelia Chase in television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the spin-off entitled Angel. Charisma has graced the cover of the June 2004 Playboy issue.

Sarah was #90 in Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100 of 2005″ and then #66 for 2006’s list.

With a Hollywood history, Sarah Shahi plays in various television series. Sarah plays Jenny in Alias and Sadia Shaw in Dawson’s Creek. She also played the first ghost in Supernatural on the CW network series. Currently, Sarah is playing one of the leads with Damian Lewis in Life, which began airing in September. Also, if you’ve seen Rush Hour 3, chances are you’ve seen her as she is handcuffed by Chris Tucker in the opening scene. Who would have known that girl was once one of the NFL cheerleaders?

I am a former New England Patriots Cheerleader
early 1970’s. Graduate of Boston College, former high school cheering coach and former Boston College cheering coach.

    Married, mother of one daughter.
Occupation: Executive Director of Property/Asset Management for a major builder/developer in Newton, MA.

Involved in town and state politics, ran for State Rep in Massachsuetts 2007

Still get many requests to do charity events and still have requests for autographed pictures.

Many doors were opened for me because of my years as a New England Patriots Cheerleader. The hard work, preparation and focus on “team” helped me become a confident, strong woman not only in my personal family life but in my professional career and in my community.

It was a wonderful, positive experience and I would certainly do it again.

If anyone knows of an NFL Cheerleader Alumni Group please get in touch with me.
